Screw Piles

Screw Piles

A screw pile or a helical pile is a type of deep foundation system used to support loads such as buildings, fencing, signage, and other infrastructure. Screw piles are typically manufactured using varying sizes of tubular hollow sections of steel pipe and welded “helixes” of different thicknesses and diameters to meet specific loads based on torque requirements. Screw piles can be installed through various soil stratas and can be hot-dip galvanized to withstand corrosion in wet conditioned soils.

Universal Rig offers engineering of screw piles and cap plates to meet any project design requirements.
Universal Rig can supply WCB certified welders to install pile caps in the field.
We have the ability to minimize damage to landscaped areas, sidewalks, roadways and asphalted parking lots by utilizing rubber padded tracks when required.
Universal Rig utilizes “torque pin” technology to ensure specific torque requirements are met and are monitored throughout the installation process. After installation is complete, torque reports are then electronically produced and distributed to the appropriate parties for job completion.
